2. Purpose of data processing
The professional activities of Inna S. Cherkasova, listed on the ICIP.legal website, are carried out in collaboration with the PALMAS IP s.r.l. firm. In the course of professional activity, data necessary to identify the client, such as name, tax code or VAT number, postal address, telephone number, email address, and any bank details for issuing invoices, are required. For certain procedures, a copy of the identity document is required. The collection and processing of data is aimed solely at the correct and complete execution of the professional assignment received, or at the fulfillment of consultancy and activities in the field of industrial and intellectual property rights and titles; the filing, obtaining, maintaining and defending of models and trademarks in Italy and abroad; the signing of contracts relating to industrial and intellectual property titles; the drafting of technical-legal opinions relating to industrial and intellectual property titles; advice and assistance in litigation and out-of-court or judicial proceedings relating to industrial and intellectual property titles and rights; sending notifications and communications relating to the managed procedures and/or connected services and offers in general to industrial and intellectual property titles and rights and to the activities carried out for the fulfillment of the tax obligations required by law.

3. Methods of data processing
a) The data will be processed by means of the following operations or set of operations: direct collection in the studio or by email and subsequent registration, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, communication and cancellation or destruction of data.
b) The operations may be carried out with or without the aid of electronic or in any case automated instruments, in particular the data will be processed on paper and/or digital media and stored in paper and digital archives, on internal and/or external servers such as cloud, in all cases protected by antivirus software, firewalls and devices suitable for preventing violations and/or destruction.
c) The data will be processed by the Data Controller and/or external collaborators as identified in the following point 6.

4. Provision of data
The provision of the requested data is strictly necessary for the purposes of carrying out the activities referred to in point 2.

5. Refusal to provide data
Any refusal by the Data Subject to provide the requested data makes it impossible to fulfill the activities referred to in point 2.

6. Communication of data
The collected data will be processed by the data processing staff and may be communicated for the purposes referred to in point 2 to: external collaborators such as translators, trademark or patent agents and consulting firms in the field of industrial and intellectual property; companies that own software and digital platforms in use for the maturity calendar and/or payment of taxes relating to patents, models and trademarks; lawyers, domiciled and various consultants in charge of following the procedures; bodies responsible for granting patents, models and trademarks in Italy and abroad, such as for example the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), European Patent Office (EPO), European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO/WIPO); Revenue Agency and/or notaries for the registration of deeds; Public Prosecutor’s Offices and Consulates and Embassies of foreign nations for the legalization of deeds; subjects operating in the judicial sector such as Civil, Criminal and Administrative Courts and Arbitration Boards; to counterparties and their defenders in the event of judicial or out-of-court disputes, civil, criminal or administrative, and, in general, to all those subjects to whom communication is necessary for the correct fulfillment of the purposes indicated in point 2, as well as to Banks and/or accountants for administrative, fiscal and accounting purposes.

7. Dissemination of data
The processed data will be transmitted only to identified subjects, necessarily involved from time to time for the fulfillment of the received assignments and will not be subject to generic dissemination or transfer, without prejudice to their publication by the competent offices where relating to the ownership of patent, model and trademark applications or grants and/or to the existence of disputes or administrative procedures pursuant to current legislation.

8. Transfer of data abroad
Data processing takes place at the Controller’s offices and at any other subjects involved in the processing, also located in countries other than that of the User. Personal data can be transferred to EU countries and to third countries outside the EU for the purposes referred to in point 2, or for the filing, obtaining, maintaining and defending of patents, models and trademarks abroad. 9. Data retention
The collected data – names and contacts – are not sensitive data and are provided spontaneously for the execution of professional activities and potentially continuous consultancy over time and/or for the management of procedures that may be of interest to the Data Subject even years later. These are often data published in databases, including public ones, of patents, models and trademarks and/or judicial authorities. Therefore, they will be kept until the specific request for cancellation by the Data Subject.

10. Rights of the Data Subject
At any time, upon sending an email to the internal officer, the Data Subject has the right to obtain from the controller:
• confirmation of the existence or not of their personal data and their provision in an intelligible form;
• to know the origin of the data, the purpose and methods of processing, the logic applied to the processing, the identification details of the controller and the subjects to whom the data may be communicated;
• the data subject also has the right to obtain the updating, rectification, integration and portability of the data, the cancellation or destruction, the transformation into anonymous form or the blocking of data processed in violation of the law;
• the controller has the right to object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of data and to lodge complaints with the competent supervisory authorities.
